#projectvitality - Loving yourself

Have you ever truly sat down and acknowledged how far you have come?
Here's a photo someone caught of me at Everest Base camp. You can see I have my phone in my hand, I was sharing. My rawest ever moment which I will post in comments.
From the outside yeah its a cool photo but if we zoomed in, I was soo bloody proud of myself and what I had overcome.
Yes Everest Base camp was challenging as it took every part of me to finish, but to even get there was an achievement in itself.
One issue I see in the world is people are constantly seeking external gratification for their worth, this creates a constant desire and need to always be striving which is great in theory but its coming from an empty space.
Even when an achievement is reached its actually not truly fulfilling because it was done to please others.
Most people are not aware they do this.
It took me to get pneumonia and glandular fever all those years ago to realize I didn't love myself and had low self worth, I still had some of this residual even just a few years back.
What generally happens for Leaders is we get stripped back to our core so we are kind of forced to see ourselves and fall in love with ourselves again.
This will either come with illness, death of someone you love, a break up, financial stress or an accident.
When this happens we start to share our truth and it inspires people because its genuine, its playful, its weird, its got something unique about it.
This photo represents that, I didn't ask the person to take it, it was a candid shot and I just happened to be pouring my heart out on the other end.
The world really doesn't need anymore show ponies, there is enough of them around so will you just give yourself permission to love yourself again.
People don't give a shit how successful you are, if you've made it, they want genuine.
Share your journey no matter where you are at, and share your method to even if you are making it up on the way, what helps you can help others.
People love watching that glimmer of hope and joy coming back in your eye as it inspires them that maybe just maybe its not to late for them.
