Dr Diet 13 Years ago was when my wellness journey really started.
I had been absolutely struggling for almost two years just getting sicker and sicker. I could barely get out of bed and as soon as I finished work I would come back and sleep.
I officially got diagnosed with Glandular Fever (Mono) and viral pneumonia not long before this photo and had just started seeing Rhett Strauss another fellow CHEK Practitioner.
One of the things in my program was to go to the Organic Markets every Sunday.
At first I would go on my own normally hungover as I was still heavily in the party scene.
Its crazy when I think how unwell I was but still I would drink. Then slowly over time I shifted away from drinking and going out and each Sunday I would try and round up the Sunday Funday crew to head to the markets for most of us it was our first introduction into the other world.
A world where food is medicine.
Over the last year I started to feel tired again and noticed myself needing day naps again I just assumed it was stress however I recently got my bloods done and looks like I have had glandular fever again recently.
I find it interesting as many times things work in 7 year cycles and I'm approaching the 14th year so from a Holistic stand point we look at this differently.
I'm not upset or frustrated or feeling like I am going backwards first thing that pops up is where have I been out of line with my core values and what mental, emotional or spiritual blockages have I not cleared yet.
Its also super fascinating as I am in the process of Launching my Into The Temple Course which is about embodying the foundations of wellness to overcome burnout.
so now I have the opportunity with all my wisdom and years of training to put into practise everything I'm about to teach.
Here are some of things I was out of integrity with
FOOD - Takeaway, eating for convenience and too much chocolate and snacks crept it.
I'm all for sweets but the amount of artificial colours, flavours and white sugar in them is no good, and I'm actually really good at making nutritious delicious snacks
TECHNOLOGY - Late nights watching Netflix series and spending way to much time on technology.
WORRYING - Worrying about the future of the world and getting overwhelmed on how I can support humanity let alone myself.
NOT FILLING UP MY CUP - We can easily get in this habit, the old I'll do it tomorrow. tomorrow never comes though.
DOING TOO MUCH - Creating unrealistic schedules that have no room for mistakes, weather changes, my natural rythym or any room to budge at all.
Now I've been getting back to basics and finishing everything I have already started without taking on anything else, ultimately I've gone back to what Rhett taught me all those years ago.
Complete 3 things a day that works out to be over 1000 things a year.
This removes the pressure which creates extreme amounts of stress which leads to getting me back where I am today.
Its amazing how our body comes full circle it does this so we finish a cycle so we can shift into our next one.
Exciting times a head for me, tripling down on my routine, being dligent and trusting in my bodys wisdom
Let the good times roll
