A photo from 2 years ago and words from Dr Amy
Visiting one of the seven wonders of the world
MACHU PICCHU
After spending two weeks in the Amazon fasting and working with plant medicines I came to Cusco feeling overwhelmed by the pace and noise!
All my senses have been heightened and yesterday I spent a further day purging feeling really unwell and wondering how I’d ever get to hike to Machu Picchu when I was heading to the toilet every 10 minutes!
With some attention and love from Nicholas who became dr Nicholas I was topped up with electrolytes and probiotics while shivering in bed!
I called on my allies as the shamans do, I called for help from mother ayahuasca and archangel Michael to help me recover so I could experience the beauty of Peru
Waking up at 3am this morning something had shifted and it felt like a miracle to be on the train heading to our starting point for our hike!
It couldn’t have been more special, the weather was perfect, the smell of the rainforest after the rain was so fresh, we saw so much natural flora and fauna, incredible orchids and thousands of butterflies .
It all felt so symbolic
So natural
So at peace
Nature is my saviour and I feel so connected to pachamama
As we came closer suddenly the temples, plazas, stone walkways and storage housing became visible.
I couldn’t feel more at one and I feel incredibly supported
All I can say is that despite my daze
It feels good to be lost in the right direction
